Elaine Beh

Partner at Virtus Law

Elaine is a partner at Virtus Law*. She has substantial experience advising private and listed companies in their corporate and fundraising transactions.

She has worked on numerous mergers and acquisitions transactions, cross-border joint ventures, and commercial agreements. She advises across a diverse range of industries such as funds, manufacturing, services, technology, and healthcare.

Elaine also has a strong capital markets practice, with substantial experience in initial public offerings and other fund raising exercises. As part of her capital markets practice, she regularly advises listed companies on regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters, including sustainability reporting. Singapore listed companies are required to report on their sustainability practices with reference to ESG and other factors, on an annual basis.  Elaine has a keen interest in how boards of companies incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors as part of their strategy and believes that financial reporting itself without sustainability reporting provides an incomplete picture of a company's prospects.
